Grand Rapids, MI (June 9, 2022) - Acrisure today announced a new partnership with Wimage and the Grand Rapids Children’s Museum (GRCM) with a $100,000 gift to support the opening of the brand-new Wimee’s Dreams exhibit at the GRCM.
The interactive exhibit—inspired by the PBS Wimee’s Words show featuring the popular puppet robot, Wimee - creates a place where children’s dreams can be visualized and realized in a fun, playful, and imaginative setting.
“Wimee is a beloved character who celebrates children’s voices and ideas,” said Maggie Lancaster, CEO of Play at the Grand Rapids Children’s Museum. “We are so excited to bring Wimee’s World to life inside the museum where tens of thousands of children will get to create their own stories, puppets, and put on their own show, just like Wimee. On behalf of the entire Museum team, we’re especially thankful to Acrisure for leading as the title sponsor of the exhibit.”

The exhibit will include an interactive storytelling station for kids to create and storyboard their own dreams as well as a puppet-making station that inspires kids to create their own characters. An interactive pretend set becomes the background for a make-believe broadcast, captured with a pretend camera.
Wimee’s Dreams will be on display at the Grand Rapids Children’s Museum from September 2022 through September 2024.
Grand Rapids Children’s Museum (GRCM): The Grand Rapids Children's Museum includes hands-on interactive exhibits and daily drop-in programs that encourage discovery and learning through play. The Museum is open Tuesdays from 9am-2pm for members-only and to the public Thursday from noon-7pm, and Friday and Saturday from 9am-3pm.
